The pinnacle of the festival was the awards ceremony, during which the following winners were announced: Zuma Digital presented the Grand Jury Award for Best Feature to Barstow 2008, directed by Bob Morrow, and the Grand Jury Award for Best Short Film to Urban Chaos Theory, directed by Daniel Harris; Fotokem presented the Audience Award for Best Feature to Pornstar: The Legend of Ron Jeremy, directed by Scott Gill, and the Audience Award for Best Short Film to Undone, directed by Kandeyce Jorden; Movie Magic Software presented the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary to Starwoids, directed by Dennis Pryzwara; The Film Festival Reporter presented the Audience Award for Best Documentary to Pornstar: The Legend of Ron Jeremy; 6161.com presented the Best Director and Best Cinematography awards to Gabriela Tagliavini and Scott Kevan, respectively, for The Woman Every Man Wants; and the Best Screenplay Award to Jeremy Lerman for Nebraska Supersonic. New to Nodance this year were panel presentations that included such speakers as Chris Gore (founder and editor of filmthreat.com), Gill Holland (founder and CEO of cineblast.com), David Veloz (writer/director of Permanent Midnight), Steven Puri (Centropolis Effects and producer of the TV series The Watcher), Art Alexakis of the musical group Everclear, and director Kevin Kerslake.
